A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.



Key Responsibilities

Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types
Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) on discharge coding and educate on regulatory guidelines
Utilize coding expertise to write appeal letters and resolve coding validation errors


Required Qualifications

A minimum of three years' experience in Inpatient Coding at an Academic Medical Center
Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent organizational skills and understanding of client Standard Operating Procedures
