Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 - 19:00); Day 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00 - 23:00) Guaranteed Hours: Information not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience with at least 1 year of pediatric experience License: California RN license Certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) Must-Have: - Experience in scrubbing and circulating for heart surgeries - Flexibility with shift times and ability to adapt to department needs - Willingness to work weekends/holidays/on-call as required - Ability to provide trauma coverage Job Description: - The RN must have a valid California RN license. - Candidates with strong experience will be considered, including first-time travelers. - Shift times vary and may start between 07:00 and 11:00 or earlier depending on the department---s needs. - Must participate in on-call duties and work in-house for trauma cases. - Coverage of weekends is dependent on department needs; no specific rotation outlined. - Required to take 4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule. - The first week will consist of 8-hour shifts for orientation purposes. - All requests for time off must be submitted upfront with a maximum of 6 days. - Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. - Applicants need to be flexible, as they may float within the hospital. - The role may require floating across satellite locations as needed, particularly to support NICU operations. - Orientation includes non-billable modules that take 6-8 hours to complete; these must be finished prior to the start and do not count toward orientation hours. - This position requires the flu vaccine with no exemptions allowed.
