Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform basic troubleshooting and good communication skills is required.Qualifications Maintain accurate records on preventative maintenance and repairs. Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. Adhere to safety, security and emergency procedures, react appropriately during emergencies, and act promptly to correct hazards. Make effective judgments on the various aspects of general repairs and maintenance and effectively solve guest and operational problems. Must have basic painting skills that include but not limited to working with paint, stains, enamels, epoxies, and coatings. Must have basic skill for furniture repair and touch up. Must have working knowledge of installation and repair of wall covering. Must have working knowledge of drywall, drywall repair, mud and taping. Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 15 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally; infrequently climb a ladder. Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, pushing and pulling and simple grasping frequently; squeezing, overhead reaching & fine manipulation occasionally.
