A company is looking for an Outpatient Hospital Coding Coordinator (Remote Based in the US).



Key Responsibilities

Performs second-level reviews on accounts, including pre-bill and post-bill, and applies correct CPT codes and modifiers for IP to OP flipped accounts
Provides education and guidance to facility and vendor coders based on second-level reviews
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for coding inquiries and codes outpatient accounts when coverage is needed


Required Qualifications

3-5 years of acute hospital outpatient coding experience
Associate's degree in Health Information Management
RHIT or CCS/COC certification
Skilled and working knowledge of MS Office Suite
