Field Applications Engineer - Santa Clara California

As a FAE working closely with the Sales team, you are a critical partner in participating in customer meetings demonstrating OmniVision's products and supporting sales in closing deals.Responsibilities

Provides technical expertise through sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Works with sales team in assessing potential application of OmniVision products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for development and implementation of customer applications and solutions.

Provides follow-up support to sales team and customer by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Direct customer support, providing customer solution, helping customers set up and troubleshoot their systems and providing onsite customer support.

Works closely with application team to get support to fulfill customer's requirement.

Ensures product is functioning to specifications.

Works closely with teams focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.

Participates in projects from initiation through delivery including planning and schedules.Qualifications

BSEE or equivalent; MSEE preferred.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Must be comfortable making technical presentations in front of all levels of customers.

Minimum five years of experience working in applications engineering in the semiconductor industry.

Minimum five years of experience as a FAE.

Systems knowledge is a huge plus.

Practical knowledge of and interest in imaging business and handset architecture are a plus.Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $90,000 - $140,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in similar roles.EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability
