We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.As a Sr Avionics Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the avionics engineering team. The avionics team is responsible for designing, selecting, verifying, integrating, and certifying avionics and electrical components and systems to automate unmanned aircraft under stringent civil aviation standards. The Sr Avionics Test Engineer role will focus on verifying development and flight hardware including products such as computers, remote data concentrators, and aircraft electrical systems that support the mission to automate aircraft.ResponsibilitiesIn your role as Sr Avionics Test Engineer, you will develop and deploy automated test solutions for complex avionics hardware ranging from early prototype designs through formal equipment qualification campaigns. You will design test benches and procedures to execute tests for applications ranging from circuit debugging up to system level verification. To do this you will frequently coordinate with vendors, equipment, and engineers across multiple disciplines to facilitate successful verification campaigns. You will be responsible for tracking hardware issues, driving root cause and corrective action campaigns, and driving continuous improvement of our electrical test infrastructure.Basic Success Criteria - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment
- Extensive experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python)
- Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problemsPreferred Success Criteria
