You'll ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, all while building a cohesive and high-performing team.What You'll Do:As a Data Center Cabling Specialist, you'll: - Coordinate Installations: Plan, coordinate, and execute cabling projects, including installation, termination, and testing of network and communication cables in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cabling plans and strategies that meet the organization's infrastructure needs.
- Ensure Safety & Quality: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines during cabling installations and maintenance activities.
- Problem-Solve & Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot and diagnose complex cabling issues, utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
- Maintain Project Documentation: Keep accurate records of installations, test results, and project progress reports.
- Manage Resources: Monitor and manage inventory of cabling materials, tools, and equipment.
- Act as the On-Site Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for customers on-site.What you'll bring:You bring expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovation. You are an experienced professional with:
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced certifications in cabling systems (BICSI Technician, etc.) highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Understanding of cabling standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801) and extensive experience with fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cable systems.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A knack for diagnosing issues and implementing effective, innovative solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safety Awareness: A solid understanding of safety protocols.
- Experience: 3-5 years in network cabling, with hands-on experience with tools like fusion splicers, cable testers, and termination kits.Physical Requirements:
