Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding colleagues in our tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.The Opportunity:This role has the exciting opportunity to lead the Total Rewards and People Operations team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Total Rewards, People Operations & HRBP, Development you will make an immediate impact advancing our total rewards and people operations strategy that supports our current and future Revolutionary team. As an ideal candidate, you will partner with senior functional leaders to ensure programs and processes are effective, rewarding, competitive, and aligned with company goals. You will also: - Use your subject matter expertise to lead, design, and implement industry best practices of overall total rewards and people operations programs, systems and processes including:
- Partner with Executive Director, Total Rewards, People Operations & HRBP, Development, our internal people operations team, cross-functional partners and external consultants to develop, execute and lead a comprehensive best-in-class HRIS strategy aligned with the company's business and human resources objectives
- Partner with Executive Director, Total Rewards, People Operations & HRBP, Development, internal compensation team and external comp consultants to evolve our compensation programs and strategies to remain best-in-class as we continue to scale
- Lead the team to deliver projects for key initiatives such as compensation structure design and implementation, career path/ladder formation, and Workday implementation
- Oversee current programs, processes, and vendors, including but not limited to work visa immigration, leaves of absence, family planning, etc., and evaluate each for effectiveness to attract and retain team members as we scale
- Lead the team in conducting in-depth competitive research, analysis, and modeling for compensation and benefits programs including equity utilization, ongoing pay equity analysis, 401(k) and PTO costing, and financial impact of design scenarios leveraging compensation and other tools and systems
- Expertise in partnering with HR Business Partner and Learning & Development colleagues, as well as senior functional leaders to enhance compensation rewards, retention strategies, and total rewards communications and trainings; provide advice on total rewards strategy (e.g. promotions/transfers, job offers, relocations) including policy and guideline interpretation, as well as annual and midyear compensation of base salary and merit analysis benchmarking (position analysis, levelling evaluations, and pricing) and updating ranges and structures
- Analyze all benefits plans to recommend, lead and implement innovative benefit strategies, policies and programs designed to attract and retain team members
- Represent HR by leading the team as a strategic partner to business
- Exceptional leadership skills to guide and manage a team of seven team members and effectively scale the total rewards and people operations functions leveraging internal and external resources as well as systems
- Lead our highly collaborative team to effectively prioritize initiatives, communicate programs, and collaborate across all functions
- Partner with HR business partners, talent acquisition, finance and other stakeholders to align total rewards and people operations initiatives with broader organizational strategies
- Foster an overall capability to foster a cohesive, collaborative, and fun workplaceRequired Skills, Experience and Education:
- Degree with a minimum 15 years of hands-on people operations, compensation and benefits experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility in a fast-paced, growth environment
- At least 5 years management experience
- Deep knowledge of executive and non-executive compensation programs including equity planning and practices, base salary, variable pay and performance management, job leveling & evaluation, data analysis, research and predictive and project modeling, benefits and broad employee-programs
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on key insights, trends, issue identification and recommendations
- HRIS implementation experience and communication strategies
- Direct experience in biotechnology and/or life sciences
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, creative, flexible and consultative; strong sense of business needs and making decisions based on data and emerging priorities; high integrity and accountability
- Ability to listen and use critical thinking to assess the needs and communicate accurate information concerning process, plans and procedures in a collaborative, team-based manner
- Detail-oriented, proven ability to track, prioritize and drive to success multiple concurrent projects by analyzing data and driving sound decision-making
