Job Title: Chief Systems Engineer-Missile Defense (Active Secret Security Clearance Required)Job Code: 12135Job Location: Colorado Springs, COJob Description: As a Chief Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in requirements development, design, development, implementation, testing and training of/for radar systems, command and control systems, large IT infrastructures, and ground systems for our warfighters. We have a long history of innovative and exceptional performance; we have earned our place as a trusted provider to our customers.In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a chief system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!Essential Functions: Understanding of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) - Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support as well as Operations, mission and requirements. Understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Missile Defense Space Center (MDSC) Operations and Maintenance, MDS Mission Operations, Systems Engineering & Program Integration Fill the functions of the CSE that include: responsibility for the technical execution on the program, customer interfacing and interactions, preparing and presenting briefings to internal leadership and external customersDevelop technical baselines and reference architectures for standard designs and solutions.Conduct overall Systems Engineering and Integration for Missile Defense and N&NC technology maturation, design, development, prototyping, demonstration and testing.Support mission operations, wargame and exercises, testing, modeling and simulation.Effectively integrate, manage, and communicate within and between all technical areas.Design, develop, integrate, operate, and sustain a secure and reliable information management architectures and infrastructure for mission systems, enabling a continuous operational readiness posture.Demonstrated understanding of sustaining, maintaining and modernizing large, complex infratructures and systems.Defining the technical approach for customer requirements and then implementing their solutions. Decomposing PWS requirements into requirements that are testable.Developing basis of estimates for scope of work.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.Active Secret security clearance.5 years experience in a technical leadership role.Background in one of the following areas: missile warning, missile defense, strategic warning, theatre missile warning/defense. Preferred Additional Skills:Led or integral member of a competitve capture > $10MBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field.Experience supporting DoD/government customersBackground in MW/MD, N2C2 systems, the ITW/AA enterprise and MDA; understanding of operational and strategic level of Command and Control of the Missile Warning and legacy SSA enterprise, the mission of the MDA it's customers and systemsFamiliarity with Agile development principlesFamiliarity with space mission operationsSystems Integration and system testTop Secret clearanceStrong interpersonal skillsProven ability to build teams with external entities (i.e. other companies) In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $128,000 - $238,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
