Faculty Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Office of Medical Education Job Title: Open Rank Clinical Series: Instructor, Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, Professor Working Title: Medical Sciences Content Co-Director - Radiology Position #: 00828049 - Requisition #:35106 Job Summary: The Office of Medical Education has an opening for a .05 FTE salary supported position, with benefits, as Radiology Medical Science Content Director. The Content Director at the University of Colorado School of Medicine plays a pivotal role in shaping medical education by developing and overseeing curricula that ensure students acquire the core knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become competent physicians. This role involves administering and enhancing educational programs, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, assessing student performance, and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards. The Content Director collaborates with faculty, recruits and supports educators, and fosters continuous quality improvement through curriculum reviews and innovative teaching strategies. Examples of Work Performed: Oversee content scheduling, assessment, organization, and execution. Ensure high-quality, current content materials are accessible and align with educational objectives. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty, serving as a resource. Lead curriculum development and implementation across all phases of the program. Ensure teaching faculty and students understand content competencies and learning goals. Modify curricula based on needs, LCME requirements, and curriculum committee directives. Contribute to maintaining a comprehensive curriculum map, including goals, objectives, and assessments. Track and assess curriculum quality for continuous improvement. Evaluate curriculum effectiveness in achieving learning outcomes with the Office of Assessment and Evaluation. Present curriculum reports to relevant committees and leadership. Ensure compliance with LCME standards and other reporting requirements. Set clear expectations for student performance and oversee formative and summative assessments. Recruit and develop faculty to deliver educational content and coordinate faculty development needs. Foster a professional learning environment for students and faculty. Collaborate with other Content Directors to standardize curriculum elements and ensure compliance. Attend and participate in curriculum committee meetings and retreats to contribute to policy development. Supervision Received: The position will report to the Chair, Medical Sciences Content Directors and have a dotted line reporting to the Assistant Dean, Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Supervision Exercised: None Work Location: Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule as needed for teaching and in-person meetings.
