The Division of University Advancement is integral to achieving and sustaining the University's institutional excellence through fundraising and engagement efforts.Position Summary: The Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA) maintains a deep commitment to CSU's tradition and innovation in order to engage alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations to raise the financial support necessary to advance the University's mission and vision. They lead the team that builds relationships and connects donors and their unique interests to CSU students, faculty, and programs.Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust advancement strategy that aligns with the university's strategic goals and enhances its fundraising capacity.
- Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni, potential supporters, and donors at all levels.
- Fundraising Campaigns: Oversee the planning and execution of major fundraising campaigns.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 150+, fostering a culture of achievement and excellence.
- Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the President's Cabinet.
- Publicity: Represent the university at events and meetings.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on fundraising progress.Required Job Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in advancement, fundraising or related areas in higher education.
- Skills: Proven track record of successful major gift fundraising, strategic planning, and team leadership.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of current trends and best practices in advancement and philanthropy.
