Job Description:This position is responsible for providing management and oversight of daily Nursing activities to a Nursing Department. The Manager works in partnership with Nursing leadership and other facility management and departments to ensure the provision of optimal patient care, attainment of financial goals, and development of leaders.Posting SpecificsShift Details: The hours vary based on the clinic volume and meetings. The average hours are 8am - 5pm. No scheduled weekends, nights, or holidays. No on call.Department: Oncology Service Line at Lutheran HospitalAdditional Details: Leadership and oncology experience preferred.ScopeAs an RN Manager of Clinical Team Development, you need to know how to: - Be responsible for supervision, development and coaching of the Front Range Clinical Team Development RNs- Be responsible for developing MA and MA lead clinic orientation and training materials. Maintain accountability with lead MA to accomplish orientation, education and training of MA staff to develop the role of primary care MA.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the MA Scope of Practice.
- Coach providers, MAs and other associates on building integrated clinical care teams.
- Partner with Risk and Safety to identify trends or serious events and ensure mitigation across the Denver metro area and with Quality and Process Improvement to identify opportunities for quality of care improvement to drive implementation of necessary workflow changes.
- Be responsible for execution of MA role in pharmacy guidelines including vaccine administration process, controlled substances, CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) proficiency and general medication safety practices.
- Build and effectively maintain relationships with practice leadership and key clinical influencers to result in practice transformation.
- Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting policies and protocols for infection control, controlled substance regulations, enforcing medication administration, and storage procedures.Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience.Preferred
