Verifies specifications of purchase request and obtains prices and delivery. Responsible for entering and maintaining costing and promotion information into the costing database system for use in purchase order generation and internal work documents. Provides support for field and internal merchandising personnel and communicates with suppliers on pricing and promotional information. Functions as a team member within the department and cross-functions as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.Ensures the data integrity of the costing database by reviewing input and output information for accuracy.Investigates and corrects problems causing incorrect input or output by reviewing edit reports, input documents, and online system screens, and by developing query reports.Aids in ongoing Accounts Payable (AP) match issues, working with field and internal merchandising personnel and suppliers for a resolution.Communicates with manufacturer representatives/brokers on pricing and/or promotional information.
