Faculty Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: School of Dental Medicine Job Title: Open Rank Per Diem Specialty Faculty (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor) Position #: 00608684 - Requisition #: 35563 Job Summary: The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine invites qualified applications for part-time pre-clinical and clinical per-diem faculty positions. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in dental specialty practice. Board certification and prior teaching experience are preferred. Examples of work performed The duties for this faculty position include clinical and didactic teaching. The overall distribution of such activities and allocation of responsibilities is determined by each Department Chair based on department and School of Dental Medicine needs, along with other appropriate considerations. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Assistant Professor - Clinical DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent Eligible to be licensed in Colorado Dependent upon the dental specialty, experience in treating complex dental cases, medically complex patients, and or patients requiring multidisciplinary care Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each appointment level in the School of Dental Medicine Associate Professor - Clinical DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent Eligible to be licensed in Colorado Dependent upon the dental specialty, experience in treating complex dental cases, medically complex patients, and or patients requiring multidisciplinary care Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each appointment level in the School of Dental Medicine Professor Clinical DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent Eligible to be licensed in Colorado Dependent upon the dental specialty, experience in treating complex dental cases, medically complex patients, and or patients requiring multidisciplinary care Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each appointment level in the School of Dental Medicine There are several factors that will impact the rank including previous or current rank, years of experience, etc. Determination of rank is done based on the interview of the individual candidate.
