University Staff Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine - Department of Psychiatry Job Title: Adult Finance Professional (Intermediate - Principal Level) Position: #00829291 - Requisition: #35639 Job Summary: The Department of Psychiatry is looking to fill multiple full-time benefits eligible Finance Professional positions. These are considered open-rank positions and the level assigned will be based on each individual professional's qualifications and experience. These Finance Professional will work in the finance domain (including but not limited to sponsored project, clinical, and auxiliary enterprise finance), accounting, revenue cycle, clinical operations, and human resources. The overall goal of these positions is to advance the Department's capacity for data-driven decision making in key domains to achieve the vision of Brain Health for All, For Life. Finance Professionals have multiple opportunities in the Department of Psychiatry ranging from working in the Department's Finance Core which oversees an annual budget of over $100 million and will specifically support the Adult Clinical Division in the Department of Psychiatry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in ensuring programs and projects, including grants and contracts are fiscally sound and adhere to Federal and University of Colorado Policies and Procedures. Assist in managing fiscal reporting activities for the Department including revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions; monitoring of program and contract/grant budgets; and assists in fiscal and progress reporting to funding agencies, including performance-based and cost-rate analysis. Assist in the management of resources and activities within the University system including Fiscal & Budget management, Procurement of Goods and Services, and Grant & Contract administration. Maintain internal grant/contract submission and award tracking spreadsheets, invoicing when appropriate, and evaluating available technology/apps/software to modernize tracking system and capabilities. Support and grow the Department's Revenue Cycle processes including mapping, outreach to external partners, and interfacing with departmental faculty and staff regarding productivity and billing. Maintain monthly and Annual financial cost reporting requirements and accrual processes. Work Location: Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week. Two (2) years of professional level experience in business, finance, and/or accounting administration. Principal Level: A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, economics, finance, financial management, accounting, public health administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
