Mechanical Engineer - Cryogenic Systems

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Cryogenic Systems to assist with the design, fabrication, and testing of components critical to our next-generation quantum cooling systems. This role is ideal for someone with broad mechanical engineering skills, experience in heat transfer (preferably at cryogenic temperatures), and a passion for hands-on problem-solving in dynamic, collaborative environments.
Contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems and components for cryogenic and thermal applications.
Mechanical Integration: Support sensitivity analyses, risk assessments, and mechanical integration of cryogenic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Heat Transfer Analysis: Apply heat transfer principles to the design and optimization of cryogenic systems, ensuring thermal performance meets system requirements.
Prototyping and Testing: Develop and validate mechanical prototypes, ensuring designs meet performance and reliability standards.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with specialized engineers across disciplines to support system-wide mechanical solutions and integration efforts.
Take on varied tasks as needed to support the evolving needs of the team and project.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
-3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on thermal or cryogenic systems.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and general-purpose engineering software.
- Broad mechanical engineering skills, with experience in design, fabrication, and testing of prototypes.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, with experience designing and optimizing systems for thermal performance (cryogenic experience preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct risk assessments and support sensitivity analyses.
