Description: ***THE HOURS FOR THIS JOB ARE 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM MONDAY - THURSDAY*** Our General Labor position is an entry level position that will include training in a variety of entry level skills and departments. You will learn valuable skills that will help you grow and succeed in hitting personal, department, and company performance metrics. This position is the starting point of growing a career with us. There are career paths to other production departments, painting, quality control, and leadership. No prior experience is needed in this field. If you bring hard work and dedication, we will bring the training needed to be successful.- Sands defects and prepares surfaces for painting.- Lay out and mask parts appropriately.- Peal masking and prepare surface for additional paint or graphics- Maintain proper quality in accordance with the Quality Assurance Department- Maintain proper efficiency in accordance with Management driven goals - Maintain accurate production logs- Label and sign off on all parts and routers- Maintains solid communication with department leaders and Quality Assurance Department..- Cleans and maintains department area.- Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of materials.- Flexible to assist in any production capacity in order to fulfill the needs of the business.- Other duties as assigned/ Flexing to different departments. Overtime must be approved by upper management.Working Conditions- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditionsbut not necessarily from temperature changes.- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.- The worker is subject to extreme cold: Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods ofmore than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmentalconditions such as wind and humidity.- The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of morethan one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditionssuch as wind and humidity.- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in orderto be heard above the ambient noise level.- The worker is subject to vibration: Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities orwhole body.- The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximityto moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding andhigh places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.- The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions thataffect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.Physical Requirements- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.- Standing - required to stand on his/her feet in an upright position for continuousperiods of time.- Walking - required to walk considerable distances in the facility during the course ofhis/her work.- Lifting - required to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during theshift (Not to exceed 50 lbs)- Pulling /Pushing - require exerting force to a certain number of pounds on a regularbasis so that the part(s)/rack(s) are moved throughout the shop.- Reaching - regularly required to use the hands and arms to reach for objects.- Stooping and Crouching - regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist orby bending legs and spine.- Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture bytouching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.- Hearing: The worker is subject to loud noises: There is sufficient noise to cause theworker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
