Full Time Remote
Salary Range:$95,000.00 To $105,000.00 Annually


We are seeking a GIS Full Stack Developer to work on a variety of custom GIS applications as part of an established SAFe Agile scrum team. The successful candidate will be an experienced GIS Developer who has worked with both ESRI and open-source technologies in the front-end and/or back-end supporting geoscience data efforts in an analytic capacity.



Responsibilities

Coordinating with stakeholders, users, and multiple technical roles to understand GIS development needs and promote new, innovative uses of GIS
Develop new and improve existing process flow automations for GIS data using Python, SQL, or other technologies
Develop and optimize GIS applications, including web mapping applications, desktop GIS plugins, and geoprocessing services
Develop complex back-end spatial queries using SQL Server or PostGIS
Gather, manage, and process large raster and vector datasets
Develop and work with ISO-compliant metadata and metadata data models



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, geosciences, or related field
10+ years working with GIS software, including ESRI ArcGIS software (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, etc.) and/or open-source GIS software (QGIS, SAGA GIS, MapServer, GeoServer, etc.)
5+ years writing Python scripts using the ArcGIS API for Python, arcpy, and open-source geospatial libraries AND/OR
5+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server spatial SQL or PostGIS AND/OR
3+ years of experience with ESRI or open-source web mapping frameworks including ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Leaflet, OpenLayers, and MapLibre
Demonstrable understanding of applied GIS concepts in environmental, agricultural, or scientific applications
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrable understanding of core usability principles
Experience managing multiple competing priorities and projects



Preferred

Experience with desktop GIS programming, including ArcObjects, ArcGIS Pro SDK, and QGIS API
Experience with scientific programming and/or machine learning
Experience with Docker and deploying applications to AWS
Experience with R, .NET Core, Typescript, and/or React
SAFe certification or experience working in an agile environment
Experience with Voyager Search
