Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer with well-rounded Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. provisioning of platform, storage, and networking resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Service Mesh technologies. The Principal Engineer would be engaged in the design and architecture of the system with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS expertise and will interface both with the Program's Sr. The Principal Infrastructure Engineer would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform's over-arching design through new emerging technologies. Note: This position is based in Aurora CO and will be working within a Secure Compartmented Integration Facility (SCIF) and may require some travel (10% or less) to customer sites for support and possible on call support/overtime.--


You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to develop and communicate implementation, of infrastructure solutions.
You will maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs.
You will assist to train up other Jr engineers to support the Program / team as needed to support program Operations.
You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare.
You will be the focal point for the equipment room (lab) to ensure that all compute network and storage resources are properly allocated and maintained for the program's use.
You will ensure that the COTS stack and versioning is consistent across the platform; You will travel to customer sites to assist in system updates and deliveries when necessary.


Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8+ years of related work experience
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
Experience with VMware
Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
Current TS/SCI issued security clearance is required day 1. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions
Experience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts
Notional experience with Windows & Windows Server OS
HW configuration and management experience
General / Notional Experience in Networks; SAN/NAS designs and implementation
Ansible Automation and yaml file structure
Cisco IOS / Fiber Switch Familiarity
Cisco Server Hardware / ILO Remote Management
Deployment of SSL Certificates in Windows and Linux
Oracle Database Management
