University Staff Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Orthopedics Job Title: Temporary Research Assistant Position #00831720 - Requisition #36100 This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 12-months. This position is part-time and limited to no more than an average of 30 hours a week in a twelve-month period. Job Summary: This is a 12-month temporary research assistant/scribe position for the University of Colorado Department of Orthopedics. Work location will be at the UCH CU Sports Medicine Clinic. Work will involve assisting with Sports medicine-related research initiatives under Dr. Rachel Frank Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the necessary supplies and equipment for studies are in stock and in working order Conduct relevant research, gather data, and write scholarly articles with the intent to publish; meet with physicians and research team bimonthly. Assist with creation of conference or professional presentations for Dr. Frank when needed Serve as a scribe and assist doctors and staff throughout patient exams and observe sports medicine surgeries. Accompany Dr. Frank/CU Sports Medicine Team and serve as needed with local and professional athletic teams Perform general administrative tasks such as organizing documentation, managing schedules, and handling correspondence related to research activities Additional duties as assigned. Work Location: Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule. Specific schedule to be determined by the position's supervisor.
