A local Boulder firm with over six decades of professional experience, and over 20,000 successful projects is looking for a CAD designer with Civil 3D experience to join their growing team. Like the firm, this professional should have an unwavering commitment to quality. This CAD designer would work with public and private sector clients to provide civil, transportation, traffic, and water resources engineering and land surveying



Responsibilities:

The position will entail providing drafting services for site/civil design projects. Experience with Civil 3D design work for civil, site layout, grading, pipeline and road design projects are all desirable. Essential duties and responsibilities will include: preparing plans, profiles, and detail drawings using Civil 3D; operating CADD work stations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment; developing construction documents showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles and cross-sections as well as develop draft design engineering drawings; and supporting engineers in the preparation of engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, and construction schedules.



Qualifications

The successful candidate must have an Associate Degree in Drafting/CADD or equivalent from a Technical Institution along with at least 5-10 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preparing plans, profiles, and details. Working knowledge of surfaces, alignments, corridors, pipe networks and grading is important.



Successful candidates must be detail oriented, have a desire to work as part of a team, should work well under pressure, and have good communication skills.
