The 1st shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of all equipment, HVAC and electrical systems and routine maintenance, utilizing the preventive maintenance schedule. Primary responsibility will be to keep machinery up and running on a daily basis

Assist with the installation, movement and disassembly of machinery and equipment.

Conduct preventive maintenance per the schedule for all equipment assigned, to reduce downtime and prevent failures.

Perform unscheduled servicing of equipment after a problem is discovered

Assist with the installation, movement and disassembly of machinery and equipment

Employ the strategies of 5S in order to maintain an efficient work area; clean, well ordered and maintaining the right types and amounts of spare parts

Maintain accurate records of maintenance issues on all equipment

Follow the proper methods and procedures for the handling of non-hazardous waste in the plant and removal of waste from the plant

Deal with outside contractors for routine maintenance items/service contracts when necessary

Ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to per PM-015 and maintenance schedules

Keep work area clean

Other duties as necessary

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs such as Allen Bradley RS Logix, Siemens, Koyo Direct Logic, Mitsubishi.

Experience working with machine controls such as relays, motor starters and controllers, servo drives, heater PID controllers, Stepper Motors.

Knowledge of troubleshooting machine electrical and controls to include 24VDC, 120/208 1 Phase and 220/480 3 Phase systems.

Experience with pneumatic controls, solenoids, cylinders, actuators.

Experience with machine I/O to include photo sensors, proximity sensors, switches, HMIs, temperature sensors, etc. More...
