Overview The Director International Tax will assist with the development of global corporate tax strategies, planning and implementation. This senior position requires a solid understanding of US federal and international income tax rules, transfer pricing, and accounting principles. This role will assist with managing the Company's international tax compliance function and contribute to the strategic planning of international transactions. This role is a manager of people, with two direct and one indirect report. This is a hybrid role based in Stamford, CT. The candidate would be expected to spend three days of the workweek in the office, fostering collaboration and leadership within the team. Responsibilities - Manage global tax planning for major transactions, including financing, cash repatriations, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations.
- Advise senior management of the impact of new laws, court decisions, regulations, rulings, and proposed legislation in taxes and related areas.
- Identify tax issues and opportunities, provide tax analysis and recommendations, and assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive global tax restructuring and planning, including projections and modeling of various scenarios of proposed planning.
- Manage Transfer Pricing on intercompany transactions, develop transfer pricing policies, assist local business teams with transfer pricing arrangements and compliance with documentation requirements in the various jurisdictions.
- Manage US international tax filings including tax matters such as foreign tax credit, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Pillar Two and Subpart F.
- Review international aspects of the Company's quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations.
- Work with local business unit finance contacts to address and resolve local country tax issues including tax return filings, tax accounting and tax examinations.
- Generate and implement procedural improvements to the current income tax return compliance and provision processes.
