About the Role: The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the team responsible for implementing HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, values, and objectives. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position supports various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, and training. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Mission & Culture: Uphold the organization's mission and values by fostering a professional and respectful work environment. Ensure all employees understand and adhere to the policy handbook.
- Recruitment Management: Lead all phases of recruitment, from developing job descriptions and hiring criteria to onboarding. Implement efficient recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including individuals with disabilities.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and organizational standards. Maintain accurate records and reporting practices.
- Employee Relations: Address workplace issues through mediation and conflict resolution. Conduct investigations and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect by addressing employee concerns with empathy and sensitivity.
- Training and Development: Facilitate and recommend training initiatives to support leadership and employee growth, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, annual rollouts, and the onboarding process for new hires.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct safety inspections and enforce confidentiality policies, including adherence to HIPAA.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete other duties as assigned to support the HR team and organizational goals.
Physical and Environmental Demands: This position primarily operates in an office environment with standard office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, photocopiers). Physical demands include the ability to: - Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements, such as typing.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Engage in minimal travel for recruiting events, training sessions, or organizational needs.
