Job SummaryYELLOW - Union Market is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, the Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.Key Responsibilities - Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing kitchen budgetsRequirements
- At least 3 years of cooking experience, including 1 year in a sous chef position or similar
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and quality
