Chemours is seeking a(n) Particle Science Intern to join our Technology team! This position will report directly to the leaders of the Particle Characterization Laboratory .

This position will support research and development activities in the Titanium Technologies business and will focus on analytical and/or process development in particle characterization.

Location: Newark, DE

Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week OR

Term : 3 -month assignment between May-August 2025

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare slurries, dispersions, and other samples as needed


    • Characterizing samples using various particle characterization methods


      • Assisting in method optimization and developing best practices for emerging experimental techniques


        • Data analysis and method troubleshooting


          • Documentation and reporting of results to technical staff


            • Working collaboratively in team environment


              • Abiding by safe laboratory practices


                T he following is required for this role :

                • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment


                  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field


                    • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new techniques and methods


                      • Previous laboratory experience


                        • Familiarity with Microsoft Office


                          The following is preferred for this role :

                          • 3.0 GPA or above


                            • Prior experience with particle characterization techniques


                              • Understanding of surface science, interfacial phenomena, and/or aerosol science


                                • Basic understanding of statistical techniques


                                  • Experience with experimental method development
