This position will report directly to the Chief Assurance Executive at our Wilmington, DE location. The Senior Consultant will lead teams to perform projects that not only improve the internal control environment of the Company but also improve the efficiency and effectiveness of company processes. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated with broad and deep business knowledge, technical auditing experience and professionally certified. Team management skills are also essential as well as the personality and aptitude to interact with various management levels of businesses, up to and including the C-Suite at times. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Manage the testing of SOX controls performed by CAS and co-source partner, including off-shore, and reporting results to the CAE and Finance leadership
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, in particular co-source partner team members, to drive their professional growth and ensure compliance with the professional standards as established by The Institute of Internal Auditors and with CAS' own methodologies, policies and procedures
- Lead certain end-to-end audit programs and projects conducted by CAS, supervising project staff (both CAS employees and co-sourced staff from External Firm), managing project timelines and budget
- Ensure quality and timely project execution through project lifecycle including planning, fieldwork, workpaper review and reporting
- Coordinate audit work with external auditors, internal control compliance groups, finance, accounting policy, and other groups, as appropriate
- Develop and manage relationships with individuals at all levels of the businesses and functions, including communicating high-impact observations and insights to stakeholders
- Assist the CAE in the annual risk assessment and project plan.
The following is required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or similar fields
- CPA, CIA, CISA or other related professional certification(s)
- Advanced knowledge of financial, operational, and business processes, ERP systems and/or other financial applications
- Ability to analyze complex processes to identify potential financial, operational, systems and compliance risks
- Ability to provide added value to the business, research topics, and offer a broader prospective
- 5+ years of experience in Internal Audit or External Audit, including supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and methodologies for achieving compliance
- Knowledge of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA's) code of ethics and professional standards
- Strong Interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to provide strategic direction to the team
- Ability to travel, domestic and international, when required (limited travel expected)
