Job DescriptionENSCO's Mission Systems Group (MSG) Division is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to support High-Performance Computing (HPC) on Amazon's Web Service (AWS). The responsibilities of this role will be to lead a focused team in understanding current customer requirements, customer cloud architectures and architecting a prototype AWS HPC cloud computing strategy for integration over a multi-year approach. The design and future implementation of this AWS HPC architecture will provide an effective cloud computing and storage utilization solution.Job Duties will include but are not limited to:--- Develop and implement agile approaches to advance a road map for transitioning capabilities to the cloud environment. Determining the best solution for workflows and object storage.--- Collaborate with scientists to determine maximum computational and storage value by determining the Amazon Web Services solution that meets the scientists' requirements and utilizing the most appropriate AWS HPC cloud-based solutions for each project.Qualifications Required (Skills)--- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, or a scientific or technical discipline with 7 years relevant experience--- AWS CCP (Cloud Certified Practitioner)--- CompTIA Sec+ (high level security competence)--- Experience architecting a cloud-based infrastructure, that incorporates network design, security, redundancy, account management, and role-based permissions for use by scientists.--- Experience with Agile Methodologies --- Experience with Implement detailed monitoring and reporting of AWS HPC resources--- Experience technical support, troubleshooting, user support to help resolve cloud-based computational and storage technical issues.--- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).--- AN ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.Qualifications Desired--- 3 - 5 years of direct experience with cloud architecture, design, and development, with an emphasis on modern dev/ops processes.--- A minimum of 5 years of administering and working with multiple types of Linux systems (Red Hat preferred) with a well-rounded knowledge of AWS specific HPC tech stations, networks, security, distributed storage, user management, and cloud products.--- A minimum of two years of experience developing containerized workflows using docker solutions, with Kubernetes experience preferred.--- 5+ years working with Python or other modern scripting language (e.g., Java, C, and C++)--- 5+ years of experience and deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services' High-Performance Computing (HPC) products.--- Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies required - including but not limited to S3, IAM, EC2, ECS, RDS, Glacier, EKS, EBS, EFA, ParallelCluster, Batch, and FSx--- Demonstrated experience understanding High-Performance Computer clusters.#LI-AH1Division DescriptionFor more than 50 years, ENSCO has been providing leading-edge engineering, science and advanced technology solutions to governments and private industries worldwide.ENSCO prides itself in creating and applying advanced technologies for mission success.
