How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Manage day-to-day logistics activities with supporting functions of QA, labeling, packing and trade compliance for Gasco Oldsmar Florida facility.

Job Description

• Direct approximately 20 to 25 employees for the QA/Packing/Shipping Departments.
  
• Observes and enforces Air Liquide/Calgaz Gasco commitment to SAFETY. Ensure operations meet or exceed all safety procedures and standards. Safety is a condition of employment.
  
• Mid to Long Term Strategy Projects within the Operations
  
• Through strategic planning and teamwork, implement Lean Manufacturing process improvements to include but not limited to:
  
• Eliminate waste in QA/Shipping/Packing area
  
• Reduce Employee travel
  
• Reduce product hand-offs
  
• Create and document Standard Work practices as developed from Best Practices
  
• Complete performance reviews, salary reviews, approval of training plans, collaborating in work-hazard evaluations; provide feedback to employees often on recognition or desired improvements.
  
• Oversee the QA process for Gas and Equipment
  
• Oversee PGI Process and have it Sync real time with shipments

  • Strong communicator who builds and establishes strong lines of communication with project management and senior management
    
  • Strong analytical skills and vision to forecast and implement most successful course of action for the company in a highly competitive environment
    
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation experience
    
  • Key understanding on implementing and tracking KPI metrics
    
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a packing and shipping environment, or equivalent
    
  • Supervisory experience preferred
    
  • ISO-9001 knowledge preferred.
    
  • Ability to work in and promote a team environment
    
  • Computer skills required, GMail, Google Docs, Sheets
    
  • Ability to direct employees while following all established policies and procedures
    
    
    Educational Requirements
    
    
    • High School degree or equivalent and 3-5 years experience required
