JOB SUMMARY The Surgical Technician functions in the surgical scrub role for operative and invasive procedures, performs related duties, and may assist in circulating duties under RN supervision. They will submit customer service or expense reduction initiatives annually. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains asepsis in the surgical suite.
• Tracks implants and handles equipment per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce waste and expense.
• Efficiently sets up and turns over rooms.
• Demonstrates flexibility with assignments.
• Restocks supplies in the department as needed. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologist.
  • National certification or certification eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows. More...
