As our Machine Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for pre-production planning, manufacturing engineering, machining, and schedule achievement (OTD) for the machine shop. Utilizing your knowledge of machining capabilities, product technology, and production methods, you will lead machining personnel across two shifts performing primary, secondary, and post-machining operations/processes. Qualifications & Requirements: - 7+ years of experience in machine shop environment or 5+ years of experience as Process Engineer (or similar position) in manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining operations
- Thorough understanding of machine programming
- Advanced blueprint reading, metrology and inspection skills required
- High degree of competency in shop math
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation/record keeping skills
- CAMWORKS experience a plus

- Provide daily supervision of the Machine shop team with the goal of meeting weekly/monthly production and revenue goals. Focus on quality, first piece buy offs, labor scanning, reduced scrap, process improvements, OTD, and OT usage.

- Communicate daily / constantly with the team on all aspects of the schedule, status, issues, training, challenges, and improvements as they arise.
- Work with Engineering on New projects, Engineering requirements, RMA's, and, rework
- Support the goals and communicate them regularly to the team and other departments
- Have a positive, engaged, and infectious attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture
What are you Empowered to do? - Evaluate and identify capital expense needs, and develop a roadmap to deploy resources
- Utilize business unit resources to meet customer delivery and quality commitments through identifying key issues and implementing change
- Improve product quality and eliminate operating problems by developing and implementing operating methods and procedures
- Resolve contention issues by making recommendations to revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure, operating problems, and changes in human resource capacity
- Maintain machine shop quality performance, performs root cause analysis and implements process/product improvements
- Review for manufacturability and total manufacturing time (set-up and cycle-time) reduction/optimization for existing and new prints
- Create machine shop engineering masters in Visual by determining proper routings and processes for piece part manufacturing
