Job Details - Position Overview: Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions: The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech) provides coordinated patient care to adult patients requiring cath lab service including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- This includes pre-procedure patient preparation, post-procedure recovery, and emergency interventions.
- The Invasive CV Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients. Age of population served: Adult, Geriatric.
- The Scope of this work is within the Cardiology procedural space for Heart Rhythm Services.
- Within this service, treatments/interventions for any arrhythmia-based diagnosis are provided.
- Electrophysiology lab procedures include Implantable cardiac device implants, Low to Moderate risk explants, and ablations within our 3 EP Labs.
- Hybrid OR procedures include high-risk lead extraction cases.
- Staff roles include that of the Scrub, Circulator, Recorder, and the Stimulator.
- Typically, a room has 3 staff members.
- Staff schedules are in 6 week intervals with scheduled late shifts.
Job Requirements - This role is to be filled by a Cardiovascular Technologist or a RT-R.
- Both certifications/licensed staff would have to have experience working in an electrophysiology lab performing various procedures.
- Ideal candidate would have experience with connectology of the equipment for major mapping systems such as Navix/EnsiteX, Carto, and Precision.
- Ablation techniques experience should include RF, Cryo, PFA.
- Lead extraction cases using both manual and Laser approaches.
- Experience using a stimulator system, preferably Micropace and Bloom 2.
Schedule Information - Staff does not take call, but scheduled lates are required.
- Late shifts mean team members complete cases running past 5:15 pm.
