What You Will Do As an intern, you will sharpen your skills in strategic merchandising within a global organization. You will collaborate with global cross-function partners and gain an understanding of how to build consumer-centric, segmented, and cohesive worldwide product lines by brand. On any given day, you might: - Assist with developing the vision, business strategy, and quarterly assortment plan by category and brand
- Review weekly sales performance within the assigned area of responsibility
- Assess benchmark competitors and analyze consumer insights
- Support and prepare product presentations to cross-functional partners
- Maintain accurate data integrity within key systems. (e.g., PLM) while leading the creation of the item setup process
- Manage the sample process, including organizing incoming samples, showroom set-up, and ensuring timely review and feedback to meet project deadlines
- Organize samples and be responsible for the creation of the item setup process
- Cross-check timelines to ensure appropriate internal handoffs are delivered timely Required Qualifications & Skills
- High energy, customer-centric, self-starter with an ownership mentality and a passion for purposeful merchandising
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and the ability to multitask and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external business partners
- Critical thinker, able to process information quickly, offering solutions to challenges with strong decision-making skills Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Undergraduate students currently enrolled in their senior year, or graduated within the past six months majoring in retail & fashion, marketing, business management, or a related field Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
