This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager. Location: Starke, F lorida Hours: Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs Term : 3 -month assignment between May-August 202 5 ( i.e. 3-month assignment between May-August) The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Working with experienced engineering professionals on minin g , geological and operational improvemen t projects .
- Rotating through functional minerals departments to gain exposure and understanding of the complexity of all aspects of heavy mineral sand mining industry .
- Involvement in all aspect of pit ore control and mapping work, mine planning and communicating to stakeholders at all levels of the organization via presentations, documents, and face to face presentation.
- Participating in MSHA focused safety management activities and close collaboration with Operations teams.
T he following is required for this role : - Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Geology, Geological Engineering , H ydrogeology, G eochemistry, or E nvironmental G eology or similar fields
- Familiarity with ArcView, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
The following is preferred for this role : - 3.0 GPA or above
- Technical Experience Preferred
