Chemours is seeking a Reclamation / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing Minerals Operations Reclamation team! This position will report directly to Christopher Adkinsat our Floridalocation. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Safely and efficiently operates various pieces of mobile heavy equipment including bulldozers, tracked excavators, off-road haul trucks, and wheeled loaders.
- Act as a Safety Leader to ensure individual and team Safety remain top priority in the planning and execution of all tasks.
- Receive and execute written or oral instructions regarding material movement, contouring, compaction, or excavation.
- Ensure operation of equipment is within machine capabilities and limitations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
- Work closely with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) personnel targeting zero incidents and continuous improvement of mine site EHS performance.
- Continuous improvement in mining approach, encourage initiatives intended to reduce safety risk, increase productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce operating cost.
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all assigned work areas.
- Maintain knowledge of safe work practices and procedures. Attend meetings, trainings, and classes as identified by Chemours.
