We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our clients team in Jacksonville, FL. This individual will play an essential role in assisting attorneys with the preparation, filing, and management of bankruptcy cases, as well as providing support throughout all stages of the process. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and filing of Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related documents.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, and courts to gather information and resolve issues.
- Draft and file motions, notices, and other legal documents related to bankruptcy cases.
- Maintain case files, ensure all documents are properly indexed and organized.
- Conduct legal research regarding bankruptcy laws and rules.
- Prepare bankruptcy forms, statements of financial affairs, and other required disclosures.
- Assist attorneys with hearings, meetings, and other court appearances as needed.
- Maintain deadlines and track filings in compliance with court rules and schedules.
- Prepare and coordinate creditor meetings and debtor repayment plans.
- Provide administrative support to the bankruptcy attorneys.Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures, court rules, and regulations.
- Proficient in using bankruptcy software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification (NALA, NFPA, or similar).
- Experience with CM/ECF (Case Management/Electronic Case Filing) system.
