Key Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance benefits and manage pre-registration for scheduled services
Ensure timely completion of financial clearance according to departmental processes and payer guidelines
Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and departmental staff to provide necessary financial information


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

College coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or related medical field is required
Experience with Medicaid and Medicaid HMOs is required
Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
