This role involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, trailers, vans, and forklifts. In addition, the Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for performing other shop duties including small engine repair, as well as, some heavy equipment. Primary Job Responsibilities:Maintains repair work ordersConsults with the field to evaluate tasks requiredPrepares work plans after full review of the issuesInspects equipment, including suspensions, steering, exhausts, hydraulics, etc.Ensures quality maintenance and repair of heavy equipment in a timely mannerEnsures heavy equipment is in optimal conditionOperates various equipment in a safe manner during maintenance and repairsMaintains records of parts utilized and services performed on equipmentTravels to jobsites as needed to repair equipmentOrders the needed parts and supplies to complete fleet repairsCompletes annual inspections of all vehicles and trailersEnsures ongoing maintenance and repairs of vehicle and trailer fleet based on manufacturers' recommendationsInstalls and repairs GPS tracking on fleet vehiclesOperates all tools and equipment properly and safely in the automotive bay of the shopAdheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environmentPerforms other duties as assigned Position Requirements: Position RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredSufficient education or combination of experience, education and training that provides desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the roleMust maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving recordExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to problem solve various situationsAbility to make decisions based on the company's best interest in relation to maintaining the fleetAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency EOE: Equal Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer Pay Range:N/API13983fc50948-25660-36169756 More...
