The Opportunity The College of Undergraduate Studies seeks applications for a non-tenure earning lecturer in Leadership and Integrative General Studies within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, a new academic unit to be introduced in Fall 2025 in the College of Community Innovation and Education. The anticipated start date of the position is August 2025. This is a nine-month position with an expected teaching load of eight courses per academic year, with the possibility of optional summer teaching.The primary responsibility of this position is teaching regularly offered undergraduate courses in Leadership and Integrative General Studies. The lecturer will also provide appropriate service for the university and program, including curricular development and assessment support for the Leadership major, and contribute to the area of research.The undergraduate Interdisciplinary Studies program (IDS), which began in 1970, has produced approximately 15,000 alumni and graduates approximately 900 students each year. The office offers six-degree programs: (B.A./B.S). in sustainability, B.S. in environmental science, (B.A./B.S.) in interdisciplinary studies, B.A. in interdisciplinary studies (diversity leadership track), (B.A./B.S.) in leadership, and the B.G.S. in integrative general studies. The program also offers minors and certificates ranging from Leadership Studies to Geographic Information Systems.Minimum Qualifications: - Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Leadership, General Studies, Education Leadership, Interdisciplinary Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely correlated disciplines from an accredited institution.
- Evidence of potential for research production.
- Ability to teach in Leadership and Integrative General Studies, or closely correlated disciplines.
- Potential for teaching excellence at the post-secondary level.
- Ability to engage with web-based instruction.
Preferred Qualifications: - Documented research experience in General Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely correlated disciplines.

- Evidence of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level.
- Extensive experience with web-based instruction.
