Job Title: Specialist, Production Integration and Test EngineerJob Code: 20316Job Location: Palm Bay, FL -Job Description:L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Integration and Test Engineer to join our newly formed Special Test Equipment group. Within this group, our engineers ensure that products are ready to be shipped for military avionics and space applications. This group supports both new design development and product support by verifying electronic and software interfaces. -A qualified engineer will have experience developing, executing and maintaining Labview / TestStand application which functional tests products. -In this role, the engineer is expected to perform, but not limited to: work independently to create and execute perform software releases (build/merge/tag), create and execute software release informal and formal tests scenarios, create and execute troubleshooting test cases as needed, create and release paperwork (interface documents, procedures, checklists), install/uninstalling software on test stations, actively participate in verification and validation tests in environmental controlled test fixtures. -This role includes supporting design verification by investigating failure modes, troubleshooting both product configuration items and special test equipment. -The engineer may lead of a small group of engineers and technicians while keeping the production test equipment at a high availability rate to meet production delivery schedules and program milestones. -Essential Functions: - Assist a team of engineers and technicians in the day-to-day diagnosis of test set failure/break. Develop and implement enhancements to the test solution design to improve availability, maintainability, usability, and test yield using tools like Labview/Test stand, Python scripting, COTS interface tools. Maintain test sets for maintenance associated with replacing subassemblies, obsolete or damaged parts. Lead failure investigations and perform corrective action on any defective test set subassemblies and components. Lead building new and repairing existing test stations and interface test adapters. Champion developing and improving maintenance methodologies and mistake proof planning. Evaluation of system performance with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting networked optical test equipment. -Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Labview or TestStand experience. - -Preferred Additional Skills: - Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence/Crucible. Experience with software source control process and tools. Experience with the test development process from requirement definition through qualification and production support. Experience with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting (python modification, Basic Linux knowledge, network switches and routers). Experience with Automated Test Equipment. Experience with generating and modifying Test Set drawings and Test Set parts lists. Experience with fiber optics protocols. Experience working with a -multi-discipline technical team (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, software, systems) Experienced working on a production floor for avionics hardware.
