The Director provides effective and energetic leadership to the Business Unit to drive sales, maintain and increase profit margin, and customer satisfaction.Alliance Ground International is a cargo and aviation services company operating in more than 50 cities across North America. As we continue to grow, we are looking for only the best in the industry. The sky is the limit!Job Responsibilities: - Develop strong customer relationships directly with key strategic accounts.
- Responsible for prospecting, developing, and closing new account sales.
- Set sales plans, budgets, objectives, strategies, and initiatives to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the business unit and ensure the maximum sales volume and maximum direct margin and net income contribution.
- Develop and coach direct and indirect reports to effectively support key customer relationships.
- Provide effective performance management via the establishment of objectives, measurement, and feedback relative to those performance objectives.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the Business Unit members in delivering consistent, quality services.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
- Proactively identify and effectively address operational issues/challenges that negatively affect business performance.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all company policies and procedures regarding the workplace.
- Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as business or marketing.
- MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive management experience.
- Prior management experience at Manager level or above.
- Proven ability to develop, maintain, and grow key customer relationships.
- Proven success in leading operations.
- Demonstrated leadership talent, with the ability to motivate all levels of employees by keen business acumen, excellent judgment, professional competence, credibility, flexibility, and personal integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire trust and confidence with employees at all levels.
- Strong ability to execute against strategy, with an eye towards cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Proven success in managing, organizing, and/or completing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Creativity and resourcefulness, with a bias toward well-informed action.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology (i.e., Microsoft Office Applications, Web-based technologies).
- Must pass a background check.Physical Requirements:
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
