The Software organization develops software applications, including integration and test on missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. -Our precision software and firmware integrate operating systems, device drivers, networking, and control software to bring together sensor, guidance, and flight control processing features to complete the mission. -The Software org is made up of several Centers located across the country, responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle. -Our 4000+ software engineers design, develop, and build innovative solutions for our customers. - Join our fast-paced agile teams on the leading edge of technology. - Job Summary We are hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a Software Developer on the Coyote Launch Manager (CLaM) in the Software Engineering Directorate's Effectors Center supporting the Coyote & Rapid Development programs (CRDP) portfolio of products. This role will be responsible for the leading and execution of tasks in a timely manner to support the development and verification of a Software Requirement Specification (SRS) along with supporting the rapid development environment. These tasks include supporting the software development through all phases including software design & documentation, requirements development & verification, hardware integration, and test automation. The CRDP portfolio leverages Missile Kit in its architecture and design. The CRDP portfolio also leverages Python for its test environment and some of the products. This position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities to Anticipate - Apply expertise in software development for embedded multi-processor systems.
- Manage the execution of all assigned work scope.
- Represent the interests of the Software Engineering Directorate on the program.
- Responsible for developing software capabilities, integration plans, test plans, verification items, analysis scripts, test procedures and test reports.
- Identification, establishment and implementation of best practices and lessons learned. Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and 5 years of relevant experience
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience using C/C++ language.
- Experience developing, testing and/or integrating real-time software. -
- Experience with Formal Qualification Testing (FQT).
- Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Experience with General Software genSoft/Common Operating Environment (COE).
- Experience using the Agile software development process. Qualifications We Value
