Performs computed tomography procedures, reformats the computed tomography data that creates images needed for diagnosis and performed interventional and therapeutic procedures related techniques, producing data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner; recognizes patient conditions essential for the successful completion of the procedure; prepares, administers and documents activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws or lawful institutional policy; performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements include: Associate's degree Basic knowledge and skills obtained through the completion of a JRCERT approved program in Radiologic Technology, as well as the knowledge and skills obtained through completion of an approved course in Computed Tomography Patient assessment skills Venipuncture skills; ability to establish an IV site Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology (Accredited by JRCERT or recognized regional college accreditation. BCLS certification General Radiographer license or Computed Tomography License from Florida Department of Health Advanced Registry in CT by ARRT, RT(CT) BLS-CPR for Healthcare Worker (must include a hands-on component and AHA approved) at time of hire. Two years full-time experience preferred; no experience necessary for new graduate with the advanced registry (CT).
