Seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant for busy organization! For this role as a Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Purchasing with merchandise management in regard to procurement, pricing and quality, and responding to customer concerns. To fulfill such duties, the Purchasing Assistant will utilize knowledge, technical skills, initiative, and company tools provided. In this Purchasing Assistant role you will also coordinate with suppliers and Corporate Purchasing to assure timely and cost-effective delivery of product handling local, aid in the selection of external freight haulers, and verify the accuracy of scanner retails, price signs, and print advertising.
