This role is designed to equip you with the skills and experience you need to become a Store Manager. You'll receive hands-on training from experienced Store Managers and Retail Area Managers, gaining the knowledge to oversee daily operations, lead a team, and create an exceptional experience for our customers.

Position Overview

As a Manager in Training (MIT) at Rebel Convenience Stores, you'll learn the skills to manage daily store operations and lead a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Reporting to the Retail Area Manager, this role offers hands-on training and mentorship from experienced Store Managers and Retail Area Managers to prepare you for a Store Manager position. In this role, you'll oversee a welcoming and efficient store environment, ensuring that team members and customers alike enjoy a positive experience. With clearly defined policies, procedures, and goals, you'll receive the support and guidance needed to thrive in a structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing all daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and train team members to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Manage inventory, vendor interactions, and cash handling procedures.
  • Support staffing efforts, including hiring and scheduling.
  • Adhere to state and federal labor laws, coordinating with Human Resources as needed.
  • Contribute to store profitability by up-selling products and promoting company offerings like car washes.

    Requirements

    • 2+ years of leadership experience as a Senior Team Lead or Assistant Manager.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
    • High school diploma or GED preferred; must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of valid proof of automobile insurance.
    • Must be flexible to travel to nearby stores for support as needed.
