Position Title: Sales Agent

Position Summary;

Responsible for new business production through the sale of insurance policies to new customers and/or sale of new or additional policies to existing customers.

Essential Functions:

Establish new accounts and sell additional policies to existing customers by calling on leads provided by the company and communicating with current client?le. This position is also required to develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective referral sources.

Additional Job Related Duties:

? Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans;

? Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks;

? Call on current policyholders to analyze current insurance program and suggest additional policies that may be of interest;

? Ensure all underwriting rules, agency rules, state requirements, and other regulatory requirements are followed;

? Complete continuing education courses required to maintain applicable Florida licenses;

? Update lead system with new and additional information regarding prospective customers to ensure company lead system remains current;

? Train, mentor, and assist Customer Service Representatives;

? Update management system with new data on an as-needed basis;

? Complete all tasks and duties assigned by supervisor.

Educational Ability Requirements:

Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance License (preferred)

High school diploma or the equivalent
