Job descriptionThis position requires a strong commitment to supporting students with an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) to help them reach their full potential. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with exceptional education students, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive learning environment.Responsibilities: Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and minimize challenging behaviors. Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to read, understand and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEPs) for students with special needs. Provide differentiated instruction to address diverse learning styles and abilities. Collaborate with parents, teachers and support staff to create a supportive learning environment. Utilize creative teaching methods to engage and inspire students. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, psychology, behavioral health) Valid Teaching certification with ESE endorsement. Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is preferred. Must have empathy and patience in working with students with diverse needs. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
