Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today. Primary Duties And Responsibilities -clinical Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of the CVDC staff, as appropriate. Primary Job Duties --- Non Clinical Establishes expected level of performance and maintains the standard across employee Job Class Codes Assists Coordinator/Manager in all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, and retention; analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development/ongoing feedback and regular evaluation, and when necessary, providing disciplinary action. Assists Coordinator/Manager in developing and implementing department specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals and objectives consistent with Northside Hospital---s strategic plan and goals. Works with administration, Medical Staff, and other departments and personnel to accomplish the objectives of the Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center. Assists Coordinator/Manager in managing the revenue cycle; including authorization, charge capture and reconciliation, internal controls, coding, and denial monitoring. Promotes and nurtures teambuilding and career growth to maximize productivity and job satisfaction. Provides leadership and training on all new technologies for professional staff. Builds and maintains good relationships with outside vendors; staying abreast of new technology that affects cardiovascular diagnostics. Serves as a communication liaison between CVDC and NHHI Administration and Practices; maintains professional relationships with all physicians that promote strong working relationships. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions and providing proper follow through. Escalates as necessary. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Coordinator/Manager. Maintains adequate supplies, equipment, etc. for operations of unit. Makes appropriate recommendations to control the operational budget. Prepares, coordinates and facilitates departmental staff meetings. Assists Coordinator in providing staff schedule to CVDC staff. Participates on NHHI Committees and task forces as needed. Identifies and analyzes operational challenges and facilitates the development of solutions to prevent their reoccurrence. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP Utilizes leadership principles to initiate, prescribe, influence, and facilitate changes in clinical practice when appropriate. Establishes collegial relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and departmental staff. Works with health care team and the clinical and administrative leadership to ensure smooth, efficient and timely internal processes for treatment initiation and appropriateness of treatment plan at the CVDC. Collaborates with manager, coordinators, medical staff and office staff regarding operational issues and systems improvement. Assists Coordinator in maintaining staff clinical competency by ensuring the staff participate in formal and informal education and establishes a baseline competency in knowledge and skills for all department staff. Participates in activities designed to continue professional self-improvement. Provides/coordinates education for all members of health care teams regarding clinical practice guidelines and initiating new clinical applications. Assists coordinators with annual performance evaluations. Effectively recommends hiring, coaching, counseling and termination of employees. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate---s Degree and three (3) years--- clinical experience OR Bachelor---s and two (2) years--- clinical experience. At least one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within twelve (12) months of date of hire date into position). More...
