As an PH Advance Practicing Registered Nurse within the Hall County Health Department. At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges. Job Responsibilities APRN 1: Under supervision of a senior APRN, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with their delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. May prescribe medication in some cases. APRN 2: Under general supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with their delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. May prescribe medication in some cases. Minimum Qualifications APRN 1: Doctorate or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Two years nursing experience AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia License as a APRN AND Current certification in specialty area AND CPR certification.
