Position Summary The Department of Population Health of the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine encompasses a diverse workforce that is dedicated to the betterment of animal health and welfare in support of wildlife populations, laboratory animals, and a sustainable and economically viable food supply. The Department of Population Health encompasses the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center, Food and Animal Health and Management Program, Southeastern Cooperative Wildlife Disease Study and Laboratory Animal Medicine Program. The Department, which is forward-thinking, growing, varied in interests and membership, seeks a visionary and energetic leader, who is an experienced and accomplished academician and educator to serve as its next Department Head. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the department's academic missions in instruction, research and clinical service, including hiring of departmental faculty and staff, promoting the success and career progression of faculty, staff and students, and management of the department's fiscal resources and facilities in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
